How to play

Learn the objective before jumping into a new run.

  • Use W, A, S, and D to steer the ship through the starfield.
  • Press Space to fire and collect fuel cells before the reserve runs out.
  • Survive until the run ends; the package then exposes one final score to the platform.

Controls

Keyboard and touch instructions for this game.

  • Use W, A, S, and D to steer the ship.
  • Press Space to fire and collect fuel cells before the reserve runs out.
  • Press P to pause; this reviewed silent package does not expose game audio.

Tips

Small habits that can improve your score.

  • Move toward fuel before the reserve becomes critical, but do not cross an enemy line just to collect it.
  • Keep firing while moving so the space ahead of the ship stays clear.
  • Press P to pause when you need a reset; this reviewed package intentionally ships without game audio.

FAQ

Quick answers for common questions.

Does Star Battle use audio?

No. The reviewed package replaces the upstream audio loader with a local no-op because it did not have a host-controlled audio contract.

When is the final score sent?

The adapter reports exactly one native game-over score and resets for the next run.

Can I use the local callsign table?

The package keeps its local display, while Browser Game Lab separately validates any public leaderboard submission.

Modifications

  • Copied the pinned local canvas runtime, image assets, and MIT notice into an immutable package.
  • Removed external credits navigation and translated the host-facing UI to English.
  • Replaced the upstream audio loader with a no-op local loader because it did not expose host-controlled audio settings.
  • Added a nonce-protected lifecycle, resize, and game-over score Bridge with strict package CSP and no network dependencies.
  • Added nonce-bound host touch controls for steering, fire, pause, and full release on interruption.
  • Made the fixed 960 by 480 stage and canvas scale to the embedded or fullscreen viewport without horizontal scrolling.
  • Added an in-memory storage fallback for opaque local review sandboxes while preserving origin-backed storage on the isolated production asset host.
